ProStructures CONNECT Edition Configuration

Reviewing and Verifying

The current settings for configuration variables can be reviewed in the Configuration Variables dialog (accessed through the backstage). The "ProStructures/Rebar" category is the grouping for the ProStructures, Rebar, and SMC application configuration variables.

Note: Do not change “ProStructures/Rebar” category variable settings through the Configuration Variables dialog. The new values are saved in your user configuration file (Personal.ucf) and will be used by ProStructures no matter which workspace and workset are selected.

Configuration Audit

Every time you open a design file in ProStructures, the settings of critical ProStructures configuration variables are validated. If variables aren't set or the files and/or directories can't be found, this alert box is opened:

Note: Please follow the recommendation to close the CAD file. If the critical variables are not set properly, ProStructures will not run well.

A common reason for a configuration audit failure is that the selected workspace and workset are not extended for ProStructures.

Debugging .cfg Files

ProStructures includes a mechanism for reporting on .cfg files and variable assignments as the program loads. You can use the report to track down exactly which .cfg files are read in and how the values are built up or overridden. See "Debugging Configuration Files" in the help for more information.
